The Pixel Stand should be able to charge the Google Pixel 3 wirelessly
After numerous leaks to Google Pixel 3, it’s now the turn of the official accessories. A new picture shows the Google Pixel booth – a wireless charging pad for the smartphone.
On 9 October, Google plans to introduce its new smartphones. The expectations for Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are high – especially after the numerous leaks of the past weeks. However, more and more information is also coming to the public’s attention via possible accessories. On Wednesday, MySmartPrice leaked the first press photo of an official wireless charging pad. The Pixel Stand is used for wireless charging
The charging dock is obviously called Pixel Stand and is actually something like a stand where the smartphone can be charged wirelessly. The whole thing is reminiscent of the Samsung Wireless Charging Pads that can be set up. The picture shows the stand from an angle at the bottom, allowing us to catch a glimpse of the rubberized underside of the product. It looks similar to that of the Google Home Mini, but offers an indentation for a hidden USB-C port. Check here more about the best Qi Ladegeräte.
The Pixel Stand has also appeared on a list this week from the US FCC. This tells us that the station supports output voltages between 5 and 9 volts and thus also enables fast charging. The data corresponds to that of the Samsung charging pads. It is expected that Google will use the Qi standard for wireless charging just like other manufacturers, whereby Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL would also be compatible with charging pads from third-party manufacturers.
